Australia's Cape York Peninsula
The most ancient rainforest in the planet is found on the incredible Cape York Peninsula. 1996 I spent some weeks exploring this amazing part of the "Land Down Under". Filled with ancient old-growth forests and tons of biodiversity, the Daintree is a phenomenal ecosystem. Cape York is a mosaic of habitats filled with great biodiversity.

Kakadu & Australia's Northern Wilderness
Australia is just too large for one simple trip to cover. During the three trips I have taken to the continent, I have seen but a fraction of what Australia has to offer. This trip centered on the wilderness areas of the northern frontier with a special emphasis on Kakadu National Park, one of the world's premier wildlife destinations. The birding and mammaling was simply outstanding!

One Month in the South Pacific
My first international trip ever! My grandparents wanted to make sure their grandchildren had a travel experience, and this was mine. I still credit this trip (and one in the USA a couple years before) as the beginning of my addiction to travel. Touring Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti and Fiji was a phenomenal introduction to international travel. Thank you grandma and grandpa!

Hawaii: America's Galapagos!
Had my father not lived in Hawaii for the better part of a decade, I probably never would have traveled to the islands! But during the numerous visits to see pop, I discovered the remaining nature in Hawaii is a fantastic study in evolution and adaptation and environmental destruction.
